Limited Edition of 256, of which 250 were numbered and for sale, this one being Not for Sale, therefore one of the 6 extremely scarce Publisher's Editions, signed by the author. Pigskin binding (back board only professionally re-bound, common for this edition). Gilt lettering to spine, gilt decoration to upper cover, gilt top page edges, remaining edges untrimmed.

Hardback, full pigskin, back board re-bound. Xvi+240+60 full-page plates (with an extra colour plate), 128 illustrations of which 11 are in colour. X 24 cm or approximately 11 3/4 x 9 1/2 inches in size. Internally textblock is firm and clean.

Some expected wear to uncut page edges (normal for this version), rebinding to back board very good utilising original pigskin leather.
