Original red full leather, gilt titles and decorations, all edges gilt, marbled end papers, ribbon marker bound in, color picture plate mounted on slipcase. Eight full-color plates, including a frontispiece, are hand-tipped in and protected by translucent overlays. The colophon page features full-color ornamentation by the artist; his illustrations serve as head pieces for each Canto. The slipcase bears a matching full-color plate and is lined in velvet to protect the deeply inlaid, gilded cover design of this leather-bound limited edition.
