Mouth blown and made in Finland. Rare and hard to find. Made from leaded crystal, the gray body of the bird is accented by a clear crystal tail and head. Almost half the size of its head, the iridescent silver-blue beak stands out giving a splash of color to this otherwise neutral bird. Oiva Toikka crafted this bird to celebrate Finn Grand Fest 2010.
Each bird is hand etched with O. Toikka Nuutajärvi Finn Grand Fest 2010 on the bottom. The Gray Jay is limited to production of only 500 birds in the United States. No chips, cracks, or crazing.Under the beak there is a dip, looks like a mould mark. I've checked other iittala gray jays and they all seem to have it.
