William Peter Blatty The Exorcist, Legion Deluxe Signed, Edition I Traycased

  

This is unusual to find and it is like new. It coming out of an estate of a tremendous collector of many genres.

It is letter "I" out of 52 copies, making it the equivalent of number 9 of 52. For there to have been 52 copies, I assume the numbering may have gone through the alphabet twice, that is A-Z and then AA-ZZ.

Generally see photos for condition, author's signature, the lettered (as opposed to numbered) edition and contents. Photos 1-3 show the front, spine and back of the traycase. Photos 4-6 show the front, spine and back of the volume. Photos 7-10 show the first few pages of the book to provide the autograph, contents and publication information. Photo 11 shows the inside of the traycase, which has fine gold metallic dust from the gold lettering. Also at the top two corners, the color is slightly lighter from the book being inserted into the tray case. That is the level of wear you can expect on this item. It really is like new. I could only find one other example with a general internet search. I believe these editions were bought as an investment, not to read and resell, which explains why I could find none available for sale currently.
